How would you survive if you were stranded on a Pacific island? That is the situation facing the group of kids in 'Flight 29 Down'. Though it may seem like a 'Lost' for children (it is even filmed on O'ahu, near the set of Lost), 'Flight 29 Down' was actually aired first. The show is specifically targeted towards kids, featuring teenage issues and highlighting social order and teamwork.
The stranded students include class president rivals who bicker and argue for control, while problems for the group appear daily. Will the plane, their only shelter, be pulled out to sea by the incoming tide? How long will their meager rations last? Why hasnt the pilot returned? Through a using solar-powered video diary the kids are able to talk to the camera about their struggles to survive on the island and with each other.
Did you know? - 'Flight 29 Down' was originally offered to the Disney Channel, but they passed it up because it didn't fit in with their current line up. The program was then shown to Discovery Kids, who liked it, picked it up now broadcast it all around the world.
